1973

• Deer Park Tigers & Top Kittens joined TIFI
• La Porte Cowboys & Cowgirls joined TIFI
• Deer Park Rams & Dear Hearts became the Deer Park Rams & Kidettes

1974

• Deer Park Tigers & Top Kittens became the Deer Park Tigers & Tigerettes

1978

• Deer Park Tigers & Tigerettes became the Deer Park Tigers & Tiger Belles
• Deer Park Rams & Kidettes became the Deer Park Rams & Cadets

1979

• Clear Creek Comets & Comettes became the Clear Creek Comets & Stars

1980

• TIFI became exempt from Franchise Tax
• Formed two-league format, AFL & NFL

1981

• La Porte Oilers & Derrick Darlings joined TIFI
• League City Panthers & Pantherettes became the League City Wildcats & Lucky Charms
• Deer Park Rams & Cadets became the Deer Park Rams & Dear Hearts
• Clear Creek Comets & Stars became the Webster Comets & Stars

1982

• League City Wildcats & Lucky Charms became the League City Panthers & Pantherettes

1983

• NASA Area Saints & Halos and the Clear Lake Space Bandits & Las Banditas merged to become the NASA Area Space Raiders & Las Banditas and Halos

1984

• Pearland Roustabouts & Rousterettes joined TIFI
• Alvin Longhorns & Larettes joined TIFI
• Alvin Packers & Golden Nuggets joined TIFI
• League City Panthers & Pantherettes merged with the Dickinson Vikings and became the League City/Dickinson Gamblers & High Rollers
• NASA Area Space Raiders & Las Banditas and Halos merged the two drill teams and became the NASA Area Space Raiders & Rockettes
• Webster Comets & Stars merged with the BAFL Webster Falcons & Falconettes and withdrew from TIFI

1985

• La Marque Tigers & Tigerettes joined TIFI
• Hitchcock Red Raiders & Raiderettes joined TIFI
• Southeast Houston Wildcats & Rhythmettes joined TIFI
• Deer Park Tigers & Tiger Belles became the Deer Park Tigers & Starlights

1986

• Southeast Houston Wildcats & Rhythmettes became the South Houston Wildcats & Rhythmettes

1987

• Seabrook Sharks & Sharkettes became the Bay Area Sharks & Sharkettes

1988

• Alvin Longhorns & Larettes changed affiliation to Texas Gulf-Coast Football League and withdrew from TIFI 

1989

• Pasadena/Deepwater Bears & Texas Sweethearts formed and joined TIFI
• Pearland Roustabouts & Rousterettes merged with the BAFL Pearland Patriots and withdrew from TIFI

1991

• Tri-City Panthers & Pantherettes formed and joined TIFI
• NASA Area Space Raiders & Rockettes became the Clear Lake Space Raiders & Rockettes

1992

• Tri-City Panthers & Pantherettes decided it was in their best financial interests to withdraw from TIFI and joined the Texas Gulf-Coast Football League

1993

• Galveston Hurricanes & Whirlwinds formed and joined TIFI. This is an entirely new organization with roots in Galveston's Boys' & Girls' Club

1997

• Friendswood Colts & Lady Colts formed and joined TIFI

1999

• Pasadena/Deepwater Bears & Texas Sweethearts became the Pasadena Bears & Texas Sweethearts

2000

• Pearland Texans & Texan Belles formed and joined TIFI
• League City Cougars & Cougarettes formed and joined TIFI
• NASA Falcons & Falconettes changed their affiliation from BAFL to TIFI

2001

• Sunny Side Colts & Lady Prancettes changed their affiliation from BAFL to TIFI

2002

• La Porte Oilers & Derrick Darlings became the La Porte Texans and Darlings
• Pearland Texans & Texan Belles withdrew from TIFI
• Sunny Side Colts & Lady Prancettes withdrew from TIFI
• Hitchcock Red Raiders & Raiderettes withdrew from TIFI

2003

• Beaumont Bulls & Belles formed and joined TIFI

2004

• Alvin Packers and Golden Nuggets became the Alvin Yellowjackets and Jacketeers
• Bayou Gators and Gatorettes became the Dickinson Gators and Gatorettes
• Alvin Yellowjackets and Jacketeers became the Alvin Yellowjackets and Jacket Jazz Dancers
• Hitchcock Red Raiders & Raiderettes rejoined TIFI after a two-year absence
• Mainland Cougars & Lady Cougars formed and joined TIFI

2005

• Mainland Cougars and Lady Cougars withdrew from TIFI
• Beaumont Bulls and Belles withdrew from TIFI
• Barber Hills Eagles & Eaglettes  formed and joined TIFI

2007

• San Jacinto Ravens and Lady Ravens formed and joined TIFI
• Beaumont Bulls and Belles rejoined TIFI
• Galveston Riptides and High Tides  formed and joined TIFI
• League City Cougars and Cougarettes changed the name of their drill team and became     the League City Cougars and Pride
